When to book it. Before you sign off on handover. Once you have signed, your leverage is gone.
What we check
- Finishes: paint, plaster, tiling, skirtings, joinery
- Doors and windows — alignment, seals, ironmongery
- Plumbing and electrical fittings tested
- Levels, falls on showers and balconies, water pooling
- Everything itemised room by room, photographed, numbered
The report is written so it can be handed straight to the contractor as a work list.
